Woodland Grove is a ready-made community of like-minded people.

Woodland Grove apartment owner Mr Burt explains: “Every fortnight there’s a coffee morning and a social evening. The communal lounges are used for crafts and indoor bowling and we often go out as a group to the theatre.”

“We find any excuse to get together during the year. We plan a big Christmas dinner and have evenings of mulled wine, cheese and chat. In the summertime, we go a bit further afield. This year some of us are going to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.”

“We’ve built up a great community here. It’s a wonderful, sociable environment. Of course, there's no obligation to get involved. Some people come to almost every event, others join us occasionally and some owners prefer their privacy. But the door is always open.”
